Delete a User

This technical user guide provides a step-by-step guide with screenshots on how to delete a user from the platform, effectively revoking their access and permissions.

Prerequisites:

Step 1: Access User Management

  1. After logging in, locate the “Account Settings” option on the left side of the interface, typically within the main menu or a collapsible sidebar, and click on it.

  2. Then, you should see more options. Locate the “User Management” option on the left side of the interface, typically within the main menu or a collapsible sidebar.

  3. Click on “User Management” or a similar option to access the user management page.

Step 2: Locate the User to be Deleted

  1. On the User Management page, you will see a list of users registered on the platform.

  2. Find the user you wish to delete from the list.

Step 3: Initiate the User Deletion Process

  1. Once you have located the user to be deleted, click on the table with the data of the selected user. You will be redirected to another scene, where you can click “Delete User” labeled with a “-” sign. This button is usually located in the right top corner of the User Details section.

Step 4: Confirm the Deletion

  1. A confirmation prompt or dialog box will appear, asking you to verify if you want to proceed with the user deletion. This prompt is designed to prevent accidental deletions.

  2. If you are certain about your decision, click the green “Delete User” button or a similarly labeled option to proceed with the deletion.

  3. If everything went okay, you should see a proper notification “Your user has been deleted successfully.

Step 5: Verify the Deletion

  1. After confirming the deletion, you should be returned to the User Management page.

  2. Verify that the deleted user is no longer listed among the platform's registered users.

Remember to review your user management settings periodically to ensure that users have appropriate permissions and roles. Regularly updating your user access and permissions helps maintain the security and integrity of your platform.
